Meet Aly
Growing up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, I got a point-and-shoot camera for my 14th birthday — and from then on, photography was a part of my life. I started taking photos immediately, of friends and family and of nature and landscapes. I fell in love with the craft, the creativity, the connection between people, and the adventure of it all. I quickly evolved from snapping pictures of my friends to shooting senior photos, family portraits, and even weddings before graduating high school — I loved seeing and feeling connections on both sides of the lens. I continued to shoot off and on throughout college, deepening my craft after my move to Montana, where the landscapes awoke my love for photography. For the past five years, I’ve leaned wholly into photography, deepening my relationship with my own artistic vision and expanding my capacity to support others in expressing themselves authentically in front of the camera.
My approach is both focused and easygoing — I take care of the details behind the scenes, so my clients can feel relaxed, natural, and in the moment during our shoot. When I’m not taking photos, scouting dreamy outdoor locations, or in the editing cave, you can find me outside — hiking, biking, skiing, rafting, or cuddled up with my dogs and husband. I make a delicious loaf of banana bread. And if you catch me at happy hour, I’m always up for a good whiskey ginger. Cheers!
philosophy
My goal for every session, from senior photos to families, from boudoir to weddings, is to give you photos that you’ll cherish for years to come. To create authentic moments and memories that are captured in a beautiful, artful way. I’m not one for overly posed and edited photos, you’ll find yourself playing games during family photos and laughing, kissing, and snuggling during your wedding photos. I’m here to capture you as your are and the connections between you and your loved ones.
